Wedding & Banqueting Menu’s

FIRST COURSE

Please choose two of the following,

    Fresh Home-made Soup, (vegetable, tomato, mushroom, chicken, carrot & coriander, potato & watercress).
    Grapefruit Cocktail, fresh chilled grapefruit segments.
    Fan of Honeydew Melon, drizzled with a fresh fruit coulis.
    House Pate, served on a bed of lettuce accompanied by fresh granary bread.
    Prawn Cocktail, juicy prawns served on a bed of lettuce topped with a Marie rose sauce.
    Salmon Mayonnaise, fresh poached salmon served with a lemon mayonnaise.

MAIN COURSE

Please choose one of the following dishes, for a choice of two there will be a supplement,

    Roast Cheshire Chicken, succulent breast of chicken served with all the trimmings.
    Chicken Chasseur, tender breast of chicken served with a mushroom, shallot and red wine sauce.
    Duck A l’Orange, full half roast duckling covered with an orange and lemon sauce.
    Roast Norfolk Turkey, with stuffing and cranberry sauce.
    Roast Leg of Pork, tender slices of pork served with apple sauce and savoury stuffing.
    Roast Leg of Lamb, accompanied by fresh mint sauce and red currant jelly.
    Roast Topside of Beef, succulent slices of beef served with home made Yorkshire puddings and horseradish sauce.
    Entrecote Steak Chasseur, individual 8 oz steaks served with a mushroom, shallot and red wine sauce.
    Poached Salmon, fresh salmon fillets with a cucumber & dill sauce.

VEGETABLES

Please choose three from the following,

    Brussels Sprouts, Carrots Vichy, French Beans, Braised Celery, Cauliflower Au Gratin.

POTATOES

Please choose two of the following,

    Roast, New, Duchess, Croquette.

DESSERTS

Please choose three from the following,

    Peach Melba, fresh peach slices with vanilla ice cream and raspberry coulis.
    Old English Sherry Trifle, with fresh cream.
    Profiteroles, choux pastry rolls filled with cream and smothered with chocolate.
    Cheesecake, topped with fresh bananas and covered with home made toffee sauce.
    Fresh Fruit Salad, served with cream.
    Chocolate Mousse, individual chocolate mousse on a bed of orange coulis.
    Toffee Meringue, home made individual meringues lavishly covered in toffee sauce served with cream.

All followed by freshly ground coffee and mints.

ADDITIONAL FISH COURSE

    Poached Plaice and Parsley Sauce.
    Poached Plaice and Shrimp Sauce.
    Poached Salmon and Hollandaise Sauce.
    Prawn or Shrimp Cocktail.

In addition to the above menu we also offer the following buffets

    Assorted sandwiches, bridge rolls, sausage rolls, assorted spring rolls, cocktail sausages, chicken legs, various quiche, assorted savouries and samosas.

Finger Buffet ( consisting of ),

    Assorted sandwiches, sausage rolls, assorted spring rolls, cocktail sausages, chicken legs, assorted savouries, samosas, spare ribs, assorted pizza slices.

Hot Savoury Table

A choice of two dishes from the following,

    Chicken A La King, strips of tender chicken mixed with assorted peppers and served in a cream sauce.
    Chicken Curry, a mild fruity curry.
    Chilli Con Carne, the best mince beef marinated in a special chilli sauce with peppers, onions and kidney beans.
    Jambalaya, strips of chicken, slices of salami and fresh prawns mixed with mushrooms, onions, assorted peppers and rice all cooked in a chicken stock.
    Pork Stroganoff, strips of the finest pork fillet, cooked in a mushroom, onion and brandy cream sauce.
    Vegetable Stroganoff, assorted vegetables cooked in a sauce made of cream curry and paprika.

All served with a selection of savoury rice, French fries, mixed salads, fresh crusty bread and garlic bread.

Followed by a choice of two fresh cream deserts.

Carved Buffet

    Fan of Honeydew Melon, drizzled with a fresh fruit coulis.
    Florida Cocktail, fresh segments of grapefruit and orange.
    Prawn Cocktail, juicy prawns served on a bed of lettuce topped with a Rosemarie sauce.

A cold table consisting of,

    Roast Turkey, Baked Ham, Roast Beef, Poached Salmon and Roast Chicken.
    Hot New Potatoes in a Parsley Butter.
    A Selection of Salads inc., Rice, Potato, Coleslaw, Waldorf and Tossed Green Salad.

A choice of two cream desserts and a cheese board.

Fresh ground coffee and mints.
